Previously, the DVstick-30 was equipped with an FT234 USB to Serial converter which is supported by ambed as standard. But because the FT234 is no longer available until next year, I had to use another chip that is supported by Windows as standard. I think that 99% of the dongles sold are used under Windows.
But in a few cases the DVstick-30 is also used for transcoding on an XLX reflector. You specifically need the earlier version DVstick-30 with FT234 for that.
